Cherry Bakewell Halloumi Fries

Ingredients

Cherry sauce

  • 150ml Cherry conserve
  • 400ml Cherry Bakewell cider
  • 60ml apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp cracked black pepper

Halloumi fries

  • 300g Halloumi
  • 50g Cornflour
  • 25g fine polenta
  • 1 tsp dry oregano
  • 1 tsp paprika

Method - Serves 2

  • Add the Brothers Cherry Bakewell cider, cherry conserve, cider vinegar and black pepper to a saucepan, whisk and bring to a simmer. 
  • Reduce at a medium heat until sticky, and your sauce is ready!
  • Mix the cornflour, polenta, oregano and paprika together.
  • Cut the halloumi into little finger sized pieces, and coat evenly in the flour mix.
  • Deep fry the halloumi at 170 degrees Celsius (or in an air fryer), until golden and crispy.
  • Remove and place onto a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  • Drizzle your sauce generously over them and enjoy!
